W e delivered F/ V Gunsmoke; a Duffy 42 powered by an 800 HP Caterpillar, from its Brooklin, Maine builder, the Atlantic Boat Company, to its home port in Marion, Massachusetts on the winter solstice of 2005. Making that cold pre-Christmas trip with me were Dave Maher and Ben Hall. We have been finishing off and adding capability to this great fishing platform each winter lay-up and Gunsmoke is now ready for its fourth season fishing with friends from Maine to Long Island and out to the submarine canyons. For the late summer Bluefin fishing, Dave’s dad, Bucky, signs on as Fishmaster; Bucky and Dave make a powerful team and they are the reason we have done pretty well. The pages below include an assortment of pictures of friends and fish which we will refresh and shuffle often.
